VISION

Build-A-Story invites children to imagine Bengaluru as a city of hope. Set beneath a mango tree, it transforms a grove into a participatory art space where play becomes reflection and storytelling becomes urban imagination.

PROCESS

The installation is a modular folly made of framed walls that act as both structure and canvas. A large illustrated mural by the Leewardists forms the backdrop, while stacked cardboard cubes invite children to draw comics during workshops facilitated on site.

The placement under the tree and along shifting ground encourages climbing, gathering and quiet retreat, allowing the installation to grow organically with the landscape.

OUTCOMES

The project gives children a literal and symbolic space to shape narratives of their city. It dissolves boundaries between designer and user, turning urban design into co-authorship. More than an exhibit, it becomes a shared act of imagining the city we inherit and the one we choose to leave behind.
